I created Elemental Action to assist fellow
athletes to enact positive change, with the
hope of inspiring a broader vision of our
responsibilities as role models.
I earned my M.S. in the Earth Systems
Program at Stanford University, focusing
on environmental science and policy, and have been an elite level athlete for the past 16
years of my life, first as a competitive swimmer and now as a professional cyclist. I’ve
accumulated over six years of environmental research experience and have competed,
captained, managed and coached for eight different athletic teams.
On the consulting side, I am trained in the science of environmental impacts as well as
economic theory, so I can evaluate sustainable practices based on both their environmental
efficacy (science) and their cost effectiveness (economics).
On the marketing side, in addition to my training in economics, I have extensive experience
in sponsor relations, so I know how to optimize opportunities for promoting environmental
initiatives through positive public relations.
